Oakmasters are fully *FSC and PEFC Certified. Although Oakmasters have always insisted on buying materials from responsible managed sources, this move comes as a response to our will to show and confirm that timber products are derived from well managed sources through a ‘Chain of Custody’(CoC) .

Through FSC Certification Oakmasters demonstrate their commitment to environmentally and socially responsible forest management. The FSC Chain of Custody system exists to ensure that consumers benefit from timber products derived from responsible forest management programmes and practices.

Chain of Custody tracks certified timber materials through all processes from felling, through production to delivery of the finished product. Materials are clearly coded and identified so that they can be traced to source. In this way Oakmasters customers are able to verify the starting place and legitimacy of the products they are purchasing.

Oakmasters’staff are fully trained in the management process, having been assessed before issue of certification.
